Athlete Brand Network™

Connecting Student-Athletes with Marketing, PR, Art, TV/ Film/Media Studies, Journalism, Sports Management, and Sales Students

STUDENTS HELPING STUDENT-ATHLETES!

The Problem

Student-athletes are often overwhelmed by the demands of balancing their athletic and academic commitments. With limited time to focus on building their personal brand, they struggle to become social media marketing experts. Meanwhile, students in marketing, communications, public relations, art/TV/film media studies, journalism, sports management, and sales students struggle to find “real-world” experience to apply and test their classroom knowledge.

The Solution:

The Athlete Brand Network™ bridges this gap by bringing together emerging social media marketing professionals—students—with student-athletes in an online marketplace and directory. This unique partnership allows students to gain invaluable experience while providing essential marketing and branding support for student-athletes, helping them maximize their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.

How it Works:

Students and student-athletes join the Athlete Brand Network marketplace and community for free. During registration, students list their skills, while student-athletes specify the talents they're seeking. The Athlete Brand Network then quickly matches individuals with the most suitable connections. This benefits everyone involved!

  • Students who are developing their social media skills and acumen get real world experience.
  • Student-athletes who need help in developing their Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities but don’t have the time, inclination– or skill sets to do so –can immediately get the help and support they need.

Think of the Athlete Brand Network as an intuitive online directory. Once students and student-athletes find what they are looking for, they create a working contract and take it from there.

Here’s What Students Can Do For Student-Athletes:

Students have the time, talent, and training to support student-athletes in the following marketing and branding activities.

  • Building Brands: Student-athletes need to think through what their story is in order to determine what their brand is. Students can help student-athletes talk through this process so they can be more authentic representatives of brands.
  • Social Media Presence: Student marketing teams help athletes create marketable profiles by providing expert advice on content strategy and audience growth.
  • Content Creation Support: Students assist athletes in creating engaging content tailored to their passions, offering guidance or taking over content responsibilities.
  • Expanding Audiences: Students use viral marketing strategies to help athletes grow their audience and build strong networks.
  • Graphic Design, Photography and Videography: Professional-level students create visually compelling content for athletes using advanced graphics, photography, and video techniques.
  • Sponsorships and Deals: Students help athletes connect with sponsors using a network directory and actively secure partnerships through sales and networking expertise.

The program can also give participating students internship credit and experience. There is no cost for students or student athletes to participate.
